Us power producer nextera energy has teamed up with oil and gas major exxonmobil to build a 1.2gw natural gas power plant to serve the us data center sector. Nextera energy said monday that it will partner with alphabet’s google cloud to build new, large data center campuses paired with power generation across the u.s., and is working with exxon. Exxonmobil is considering building a power plant and data center in yazoo county, mississippi, a project that could be worth up to $30 billion.
