Tash is a vibrant community of professionals and advocates committed to positive and lasting change in the lives of people with significant disabilities Over 40 years ago, the founders of what is now tash gathered to create an entity that embodies the very values that tash represents to this day Tash’s difference is that strong social justice values — equity, opportunity and inclusion—drive our work.
Each year, tash honors those whose contributions have advanced equity, opportunity and inclusion for people with disabilities, and whose actions set a high standard for human rights every day. Each year, tash chapters hold conferences and other events, and weigh in on the issues that impact their communities Tash encourages every member to play an active role in their chapter.
