At what point down the road would someone say, i should have generated/used pic obje. 18 digits requires 9 bytes, the sign is the low nybble of the low order byte. Please give an example to explain me what does it mean.

Pic and pie is the same concept S for sign, 9 is numeric, (15) is length If this is correct, i would like to use pic to stand for pic/pie

Pic seems to be an attribute of binary code, which type of binary code can be executed regardless of which memory location it's loaded into

I am confused about the concept position independent executable (pie) and position independent code (pic), and i guess they are not orthogona. I configured the timer prescaler to 1 and set the auto preload value to 55536, so that the interrupt time was 0.01 second. For the pic microcontroller's i prefer to work in assembly, however i am have issues setting it up I downloaded a version of mpasm (from microchip's website), however it doesn't work.

I have inherited a hex file for a pic design, which contains the programming for a usb device Is there a way i can open it in order to find out exactly what it means and how it works I am trying to interface an lcd using i2c but can't quite understand how to do it I found this example here's the code
