Has anyone tried putting two hoochie rigs on the same leader Maybe i'm just a light tackle fanatic???? I have a pic of what i came up with but don't know how to load the jpg file on here
At any rate each hoochie is rigged with 2 #4 sickle hooks and a small smiley blade Any help would be great From the tail of the end rig to the nose of the forward one is a length of 6 inches.
They worked great, then disapeared We used them for another. Am new to this fishery, and am in the process of making up my own hoochies Are most fish caught on the trailor (last hook), or are a certain percentage caught on the forward hook (closest to hoochie.
With the talk of modifying apex type lures, i was wondering if anyone has ever tried using an action disc to impart additional action to a hoochie for. The hoochie leader thread got me thinking about how i attach my terminal gear (so far mainly just wedding rings and hoochies) to my dodger I started tying my own rigs and have add a barrel swivel at the end for easy attachment to the dodger I thought this was a slick idea to make setting up easy thumbsup
I figured they are essentially a rgt tube I've been seeing a lot of great colors and metal flake finishes I bought a half dozen different color combos this weekend and plan on putting some little. The winged hoochie i've been taking some hoochies , cutting the nose off just enough to slip a small spin & glow on with some water proof glue
Bingo, now the hoochie will spin Next i use a t cone and simply push it up the rear of the hoochie This really opens & spreads out the legs on the hoochie It should act a little differently in.
I've gone to no plastic beads in hoochies now.just a rubber bobber stop and soft oval beads. I'm interested in pouring my own molds and i can't seem to find any squid/octopus/hoochie type injection molds The closest thing i can find is crappie jig molds
